Announcement – 2026 QSAC Co-Chair Candidate

Greetings Racers!

We are excited to share that we have a candidate for the role of 2027-2028 QSAC Co-Chair for this year’s election.

Randy Oerter has expressed his interest in running for Co-Chair.  Here is Randy’s letter of intent and bio.

Thank you for stepping up to run for Co-Chair, Randy.

“Hello Racers,

I would like to express my interest in running for Co-Chair.

I’m 33 and Started racing rc at 8 1/10 nitro sedan.  My grandma would drop me off at the parking lot track and that’s when I got started.

Over the years I’ve raced every scale of car there is, from 1/28 scale all the way up to full size cars where I ran USAC Midget, Dwarf Cars and Asphalt Late Model.  In 2018 we started dirt 1/5 scale racing where I won a sprint car championship and a late model championship.

Then 1/4 scale ran Nats at Outlaw, so we started actually racing 1/4 scale where I won a truck points championship at Outlaw.  I got my first 1/4 scale car 14 years ago and ran one Super Nats in Boulder and didn’t return until about 6 years ago.

Now we race all over the country supporting racing as a whole, not just 1 club or organization.  I race where there are 2 and 3 day shows.  I field 6 to 10 cars on any given event.  I give cars to individuals to drive while covering everything just to see car counts go up and to hopefully gain another full time racer.

I love this hobby as it filled the hole that big cars left after hanging up the helmet 3 years ago. I do this just to support our sport and I’m happy to help in any way I can just reach out.

Thank you, Randy Oerter”
